University of Washington's Women's Head Soccer Coach and current United Soccer Coaches President Lesle Gallimore will be keynote speaker on Friday, June 1, at 7:30 pm @ Starfire. Gallimore will address the "State of Youth Soccer Development in the United States."

PSPL Coaching Symposium 2018 details:

Oman and Ganzberg will share their insights on how to intergrate technical and tactical training elements in three on-field coaching education sessions that will cover different principles of play. PSPL Surf Academy players will serve as demonstration teams.

Vince will conduct two training sessions on target play.

 "Hitting The Target"
A classroom session will be presented on targets related to attacking technical development for youth players.  This classroom session will provide coaches with ideas on how to vary the levels of training based on players’ abilities and how to create an activity and a practice to accommodate all ability levels.

"Applying The Targets"
Two field sessions will be presented to demonstrate methods to bring out the application of technique in fun yet purposeful ways.  These field sessions will demonstrate how to vary the levels to accommodate all levels of ability.
 4 v 4 to 7 v 7 to 9 v 9 formation

Erik Oman will present a field session to demonstrate how to develop key game concepts along with requisite technical foundations for players in building from 4 v 4 to 7 v 7 to 9 v 9.  The session will show how giving players manageable and realistic soccer problems to solve in small-sided games empowers them to apply technique and make good decisions for themselves under pressure in game environments.

**Early Bird discount ends May 25, 2018**

The coaching symposium is open to all soccer coaches seeking to keep current with latest coaching theories and is strongly urged for all PSPL coaches and coaching directors - whether competitive or recreational.
